Bollywood actor and British presenter to appear on final day of summit
DUBAI: Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan and British broadcaster Piers Morgan are set to appear at the Arab Media Summit 2025 in Dubai, joining a distinguished lineup of global media figures and political leaders.
The summit, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and organised by the Dubai Press Club, runs from 26 to 28 May at the Dubai World Trade Centre. With a focus on regional and global media transformation, the summit will bring together senior officials, thought leaders, content creators, and journalists from across the Arab world and beyond.

Khan and Morgan are among the featured speakers on Day 3 of the summit, 28 May. Saif Ali Khan, one of India’s most recognisable actors with decades of success in Bollywood, will speak at 1:20PM as part of a media discussion. Known for his versatile acting and influence across South Asia, Khan’s participation marks a cultural intersection at the event, reflecting the summit’s broader embrace of global media voices. Earlier in the day, Piers Morgan, renowned British journalist and television presenter, will headline a special dialogue session at 11:20AM. Morgan, recognised for his outspoken views and experience in global television, brings a sharp perspective to evolving media narratives. The session is also open for sign-ups on the official platform.
Other high-profile figures at the Arab Media Summit 2025 include the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Dr. Ahmed El-Tayeb; Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam; and Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shibani. Each brings a unique geopolitical perspective to the summit, reinforcing its role as a vital platform for cross-border dialogue and thought exchange.
Adding to the star-studded roster, Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture, will deliver the keynote address at the Arab Social Media Influencers Summit, held as part of the larger three-day event. Her address will explore the theme: ‘Media’s Role in the Age of Algorithms’, highlighting the balance between technology, influence, and responsible communication.
Strategic sessions
One of the summit’s key highlights is a high-level ministerial session featuring Arab Ministers of Information. Participants include Abdul Rahman Al-Mutairi of Kuwait, Dr. Ramzan Al Noaimi of Bahrain, Paul Morcos of Lebanon, Ahmed Al-Muslimani of Egypt, and Abdullah Al Hamed of the UAE. Their discussion will focus on the future of public media, strategies for public-private media collaboration, and the formation of a unified Arab media voice.
Dr. Anwar Mohammed Gargash, Diplomatic Advisor to the UAE President, will address the role of digital platforms in shaping public communication. His intervention aligns with the summit’s emphasis on technological adaptability in a rapidly evolving media environment.
Meanwhile, Dr. Ghassan Salameh, Lebanon’s Minister of Culture, will explore how media can support regional stability and foster common understanding across communities. His session is expected to draw attention to the role of journalism and media in building bridges and countering disinformation.

The Arab Media Summit also features a variety of flagship events and awards, including the Arab Media Forum, Arab Youth Media Forum, Arab Media Award, Ibda’a – the Arab Youth Media Award, and the Arab Social Media Influencers Summit and Award. Commenting on the summit, Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and Chairperson of the Dubai Press Club, highlighted the critical timing of the event. She emphasised its role in addressing the challenges brought on by technological disruption and the need for collective Arab vision and response.
